This is my Tata. Antonio E. Martinez. He passed away 9 years ago today from cancer of the liver. He passed just a few weeks after his diagnosis. I miss him terribly. He was a handsome, wonderful man whom i loved dearly. He missed everything about me as a women, a mother. My children never had the privilege to meet him but I know he is looking down on us from Heaven. I just wanted to remember him today.

We just finished watching the last part of the John Adams HBO series. It stars Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney. It was REALLY good! I really reccommend it for any history buffs out there. It makes you have a much greater respect for our founding fathers. I learned so much too! Let me know if you've seen it or if you check it out!

Since I spent the weekend in Tucson, I was able to attend one of my niece's basketball games at Coronado(K-8), she is in 6th grade. I circled her, she is in the blue shorts. They played against Amphi, a tough team, and after a great game they did not win, but I am so proud of her for getting in there and making her team proud!!! Go Cougars!!

My brother celebrated his birthday today (Feb12th) at Bucca di Beppo Italian Restaurant. He turned 29, here he is with his youngest son & his girlfriend =] I thought the candle they brought for him to blow out was hilarious!

The girls and I made Valentine's for Lily's preschool class today. Luckily she only needed 7 for classmates, we also made 1 for the teacher & teacher's aide. I think I will be purchasing Alexis her valentines since she has 29 students in her class! Lily is not allowed to bring candy, it is not a party, they are doing Valentine's to help with their letters and she had to write her name on them. I enlarged her name(Liliana) so you could see. too cute!

What might this be?? A bunch of pillows on the floor??? well you may be right. I had to look real hard...but look what I found!!!

A sleeping Lily!!! She took all the pillows and blankets from the beds and made herself a pile & passed out for about 2 hours! I have to admit it was a nice and quiet afternoon =]

I know some of you were curious...I did buy a car last month. Got a GREAT deal on it. It needed some work done and my BIL so graciously fixed it all up!! He is amazing! THANK YOU!!

So it runs great now!! YAY! I finally got it titled and registered in my name today!!! It is a 2001 Buick Century & I paid a whoppin $1000.00!!!

Lily always has something up her sleeve and getting into everything and today was NO different! I had a $100 bill in my wallet (to be used to register my car) and I noticed today it had gone missing! I just KNEW one of the girls had gotten it. I asked Alexis and she claimed to know nothing...hmmm...so I ask Lily and her eyes looked at me full of innocence. I figured my money was good as gone. When my mom came home from work Alexis told her about my missing money. My mom asked first thing if I had checked the Disneyland Fund jar?? No i had not! She asked Lily if she had put it in the jar and she sheepishly said "maybe..." Apparently Lily has been finding money (in my wallet) to add to my dad's Disneyland fund jar. HAHA She is trying to "help" any way she can. My mom said she sees her adding money every day! I was very happy to find my much needed money! But as you can all see, our jar is very very far from being full and capable of taking 20 family members to Disneyland. So all donations will be accepted. TOTALLY KIDDING!
